Warriors lobby logo for Chase Center SF CA
Jon Sarriugarte, a renowned artist and lighting designer, was approached by RH to create an 8ft Warriors basketball team's logo for the corporate offices of the team's owners. RH informed the team that not only was Jon Sarriugarte a RH lighting designer but was also the artisan behind the Snail art car, the Golden Mean, which has been a part of the last four championship parades with Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf and MC Hammer. Given his reputation and impressive work, it was a no-brainer to choose him for this project.
The logo itself is a stunning piece of art made of hand-forged steel with fire-textured overlays and a brass ring to commemorate the team's championship rings. The addition of the 2700k LED light inside the logo adds to its aesthetic appeal and reflects the Golden State team's aura. This logo is not only a celebration of the team's success but also a reflection of the team's commitment to the community.
The Warriors team has been actively involved in supporting the public schools and the arts through their Warriors Community Foundation’s donations of millions of dollars to education, health, and wellness programs in the Bay Area. The team also organizes an annual charity basketball game to raise funds for local non-profit organizations, including those supporting the arts. Jon Sarriugarte is proud to be a part of the Warriors team, committed to supporting kids, arts, and women’s empowerment in sports, and through this logo, he hopes to inspire others to join them in making a positive impact in the community.
