Mate 36 — Firescale Patina The Mate line started with a personal commission: a chandelier that could hold its own next to ornate scrolled ironwork without trying to out-baroque it. The answer was restraint. Clean geometry. Wrought iron that knew when to stop. Drawing on the design vocabulary developed for the Harvard Standish installation, the widely loved RH Camino, and the Gioa collection, Mate distills those influences into something quieter and more enduring — well-proportioned iron, honest construction, and warm light that makes you want to linger at the table. This version of the Mate 36 came out of a great collaboration. The client was outfitting a western stable and event space and needed something that felt at home in that environment — warm, a little rustic, but not rough. She loved the texture of our standard firescale finish but wanted it to read warmer, less raw. So she came to the shop and we worked it out together. The result is Firescale Patina — same hand-forged surface character you get with firescale, with its subtle variation and depth, but finished to bring out a warmer, richer tone that plays beautifully in candlelight. Paired with antique brass candle cups, the whole fixture pulls together in a way that feels intentional without being fussy. Exactly right for a barn, a ranch, a farmhouse dining room, or anywhere that earns its warmth. Available in 36" as shown.
