If I’m looking for heat from my gas fire pit, would you recommend sand or the lava rock? Or is there no real difference.
I like the look of the sand, but am really more interested in a gas fire pit that will generate some heat.
My existing fire-pit bowl is about 20 inches across at the very top, but when I go down in depth about 2 inches, its about 17 inches. So I’m thinking I would get one of your 12″ rings. I’m also wondering if the 12″ ring would be more of a “pretty” fire, rather than generate any kind of heat.
Thanks in advance. I’m new at this, so any advice is appreciated.
The heat comes from the gas not the media. I like sand. I’ve enjoyed many nights playing in the sand.
12″ should give you plenty of heat if you turn it up.
